There are very common in the first few weeks of a baby’s life. The skin on the cheeks might become blotchy or a few white spots or rash may suddenly appear o her skin. Give her shorter feeds at regular intervals or if she is bottle fed, dilute the milk with a little more water and add a little less sugar, but these blemishes disappear on their own accord as the baby grows older.
CHAFING-Skin folds of babies are place where chafing usually occurs. Tight shoes, binding clothes causes chafing. It is also caused by the rubbing of clothes against the skin, or by rubbing together of body surfaces, such as the thighs when they are damp with perspiration. The best way to prevent chafing is to keep the skin clean and dry, and to use loose clothing. Dry the parts after bathing the baby and dust with baby powder. This will not only prevent chafing but will protect against skin inflammation and keep the baby’s skin cool, dry and comfortable in all weathers.
